Beaches & Parks

- Boundary Bay Regional Park & Centennial Park (Centennial Parkway, Boundary Bay)
This 39 hectare park features 1.6 km of shoreline on Boundary Bay. You have a view, about 8 kilometres away of White Rock and South Surrey. The excellent sandy beach makes this beach a favourite spot for swimming, and also for crabbing. Also has a very nice shaded playground for those hot and sunny days.

- George C. Reifel Bird Sanctuary (5191 Robertson Road)
This 850-acre sanctuary on Delta's Westham Island, is 10 kilometres west of Ladner. The Sanctuary is a major resting place for thousands of birds migrating south in fall and north in spring. The Sanctuary has three kilometres of hiking trails and a nature house. Over 1.5 million birds from over 240 species pass through here each year.

- Ladner Harbour Park (5100 Block River Road, Ladner)
This park extends into the Ladner Reach of the South Arm of the Fraser River. It is a favourite meeting spot for families, with its picnic areas and playground. There’s even a walkway with a view of Ladner’s harbour. For the athletically inclined, there are also trails for walking or running, and a beach on the Fraser River for swimmers.


- Minoru Park - AKA The "Bunny Park" (7191 Granville Avenue, Richmond)
A beautifully set park full of flowers, tree's, ponds, waterfalls and tame wildlife. This is a great place to introduce children to wildlife and the beauty of nature.

- Richmond Nature Park (Corner of Westminster Hwy & No % Road, Richmond)
A nice relaxing educational experience with several trail options as well as a Nature house complete with several interactive nature experiences.

- Crescent Beach (White Rock)
Located at the end of Crescent Road near the northern end of Semiahmoo Bay and the mouth of the Nicomekl River'. This beach has a more rustic, natural feel with a graveled seaside promenade, quaint ocean side homes, and a great place to search for shells and shiny rocks.

- Ladner Museum (4858 Delta Street, Ladner)
Come explore the 1912 Tudor style heritage building and discover your community's history at the Delta Museum and Archives. There's a full schedule of fun activities to enjoy, exciting new exhibits to visit and special programs to take part in.

- Gulf of Georgia Cannery - Steveston (12138 Fourth Avenue, Richmond)
Discover the fascinating history of fishing in Steveston and on the West Coast. This national historic site is one of the few remaining canneries of the late 1800s. Guided tours, hands-on exhibits, gift shop, the Boiler House theatre, and the new, multi-media Canning Line Exhibit.

- Burns Bog - Delta Nature Reserve (Between Hwy 91 & Hwy 99 / River Road & 64th Ave Delta)
What do mummies, a sunken tractor and insect eating plants have to do with Burns Bog? Visit the trails on your own or take a guided tour of the Delta Nature Reserve and find out! The Delta Nature Reserve covers 148 Acres (60 ha) and lies in the northeastern corner or “lagg” of Burns Bog. The Delta Nature Reserve is less than 2% of the original Bog. At this time, it is the only part of Burns Bog open to the public.

- Pj's Pets (4551 No. 3 Road, Richmond)
A great place to expose your children to the wide variety of pets out there. The staff is very friendly and always willing to let you pet the various critters they have.
